Public safety during large‑scale fireworks displays is overseen by the fire department. A trained pyrotechnic operator and crew conduct the display, following all local and state regulations to ensure a safe and professional show.
We ask all spectators to follow the instructions of event monitors and ushers, and to respect the safety barriers in place. These barriers allow the pyrotechnic team to perform their work safely. For your protection, please do not attempt to approach the firing area at any time.
Although uncommon, a firework component may occasionally fall to the ground without detonating. If this occurs, do not touch the item. Instead, notify the local fire or police department immediately.
Pets have extremely sensitive hearing, and the loud booms from fireworks can be distressing or even painful—especially for dogs. For their comfort and safety, we strongly recommend leaving pets at home during the fireworks display.
As you enjoy the show, please leave all fireworks— including fountains, sparklers, and other consumer items—at home. These are not appropriate for use in large crowds. Our professional display will provide more than enough excitement for you and your family.
For your safety, our 4th of July Committee and Brockway Borough request spectators not to sit on the trestle, dike, or in the immediate vicinity of the fireworks launch. Anyone in the restricted areas will be escorted off the premises.
